My friends Robin & Jay recently got married, so I made them this snuggle quilt based on the “Eliza” quilt pattern. Since R&J tied the knot in South Africa, I used contrasting shweshwe prints off-set with a creamy white paisley print. It actually took me several months to put together (thanks to life getting in the way). I also struggled with the quilting stage as I wasn’t sure how heavily to quilt it and whether or not to stick with straight lines. While I don’t love how I quilted it in the end, I do love the piece overall. The back is pieced from left-over shweshwe cut-aways.
